Sanctuary Point Men’s Shed
Sanctuary Point Men’s Shed members are a diverse group of men from many different walks of life. They hold many skill sets from Artisans, Tradesmen, Engineers, Farmers, Manufacturers to Management and ex Military positions which are put to use in a friendly, welcoming, non threatening or abusive environment.
The shed contains many different types of equipment, including welders, and metal working equipment, lathes, a CNC machine, a 3D printer, all sorts of wood working equipment and room to work on a project.
We have the expertise and willingness to help you gain or refresh your skills in a supervised situation until you are competent enough to use the machinery. For safety reasons, we encourage the use of machines with a partner.
We can also accommodate you there for a cuppa and a chin wag. There is a barbeque lunch every Wednesday.
We cover a range of trades in wood and metalwork and other tasks. The Community Garden is associated with some of our members, and we are always looking for interested members.
Sanctuary Point Men’s Shed’s main aim, and that of the Australian Men’s Shed Association, is the promotion of Men’s Health, both mental and physical, by being able to freely discuss Men’s Problems in an open forum that men feel comfortable in without embarrassment if they wish or need to.
You are welcome to visit our shed. Come talk to us during our opening hours: 9 am to 3 pm Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
